Argentina and Spain in November

According to Gerardo Martino, currently the coach of the Paraguayan National Team, he was offered the job by both Julio Grondona and Pedro Pompilio after then coach Alfio Basile resigned. He said he turned it down for ethical reasons because he was still under contract at the time.

Boca beats San Lorenzo

Boca Juniors pulled out a 3-1 victory over San Lorenzo in game two of the Triangular. The win allows Boca to control its own destiny. Winning or drawing against Tigre in the final game of the Triangular gives them the championship.

Three way playoff this week.

All three clubs tied for first place won, so this Wednesday the three way playoff begins with a match between Tigre and San Lorenzo, followed by San Lorenzo and Boca Juniors on Saturday and Boca Juniors and Tigre on Tuesday.
