Estudiantes 1 – 0 Universitario de Sucre

By: Jeremy | February 26th, 2009

Thanks to a little bit of help from what appears to be a missed offside call, Estudiantes beat Universitario de Sucre in a match up of Group 5 opponents an a goal by Juan Manuel Salgueiro. Video after the jump.

Playing at home, and missing midfielders Rodrigo Braña and Juan Sebastián Verón, Estudiantes played a very loose game and never seemed to fire on all cylinders. Luckily for them, the Bolivians seemed a bit awe struck by the whole Libertadores thing and didn’t seem to ever come close to getting there act together. Admittedly I only saw the second half, but from what I heard the first half was better played.
