Friday night recap
By: Jeremy | November 28th, 2008Two games tonight. Both finished with a 1-0 scoreline (techinically a 1-0 and a 0-1).
In a game that both teams tried so hard to give away, Banfield won on a last second header by Victor Lopez away at Independiente. This one I actually watched. Video is after the jump.
Actually, Fabian Assmann had a great game in goal, until the last few seconds. Then it sort of unraveled pretty quickly.
In the nights other tie, Gimnasia (LP) scored a much needed home win against Colon. The three points helped their promedio, but they still are in the last promotion place, a full six points behind Central, who have yet to play this weekend. This game was also decided late, with the first ever goal by Denis Stracqualursi in his second appearance for the team, ten minutes from time. And yes, I copied and pasted that name straight off the internets, so if it is wrong, blame Ole.
