Google Makes Tracking Your Team Easier
By: Jeremy | October 3rd, 2009Ok, I must be a bit more of a geek than I care to admit because I just stumbled on to the Sports Calendars over on Google Calender and got fairly excited about it.
Just click the the New Sports Calendars link next to your email address on the upper right hand of the screen and you’ll be whisked to a calendar selection screen.
I added Newell’s to mine and previewed a couple of other teams. The times seemed to match my time zone and older games even had the score added to it.
Of course, this could be old news to most and I’m just late to the party. Anyway, if you haven’t checked it out yet, give it a shot.

A little more use shows that it updates the scores pretty quickly. With the way that the AFA has of setting the day and time of the match a week or so ahead of time all of Newell’s games in the future show 12pm and either Wed or Sat as the day. The old games show the scores and the proper date/time but I am not sure when they update.
I love this feature. Google, even though they are trying to take over the world, puts out some good stuff.
