Not a Good Night for Lanus
By: Jeremy | February 26th, 2009Lanus played a decent game, but wound up on the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline in Caracas against Caracas FC in the second round of Group 6 action. Highlights after the jump.
The result leaves Lanus in last place with 1 point. Everton and Caracas are tied for second with 3 points and Chivas, who pretty much dominated Everton last night, is tops with 4 points. While certainly not impossible for Lanus to advance, they need to step up their play and finish off a few more of the chances they create.
A lot of people think that Lanus played the better game, but from what I saw it was even at best, and when you lose 3-1 it’s hard to make a serious claim to having been the better team. It could have been worse if Jose Sand hadn’t found the net a few minutes from time.
