Two Friday Night Games

Banfield and Lanus drew 1-1 and in a relegation battle, Gimnasia (LP) took three points from San Martin (T) with a late goal from Mariano Messera, who came on at the 30 minute mark in the second half to score the only goal of the game.
Saturday sees San Lorenzo head to Rosario to take on Newell’s Old Boys in a game with possible title implications. Saturday’s other game involving top of table teams sees Tigre hosting Godoy Cruz. Sunday, Velez visits la Bombonera to take on Boca Juniors to try and defend their share of the lead.
